Our Trip to Disney World – Part 1

May 22, 2021

Let’s start with the fact that this trip was one I can check off my BUCKET LIST! I mean, the kids bucket list 😉

I still remember my days as a little girl in Peru, watching my favorite Disney movies in Spanish. I was so naive. I actually used to think that all the movies were made in Spanish, until I started to realize that the words didn’t match up with their mouths lol. Silly me. But in my innocence, I loved Disney and everything about it. I loved the magic, the fairytales, the lessons, the songs, and most importantly the stories that I grew up watching through every Disney movie.

So, it was a full circle dream, to be hosted by Walt Disney World on a 3 day stay at the stunning Disney’s Riviera Resort. The team at Disney treated my kiddos and I like royalty. If I don’t ever go back, at least I will have these beautiful memories and photos to cherish. But, I’m putting it into existence and saying that we will be back at the Disney theme parks this year in 2021.

Do y’all believe in manifesting? Because I sure do!!!

Now let me bring it back to the beginning of the trip!

We arrived at Orlando International Airport on September 25th, 2020. It was our second time flying during the pandemic, and I honestly felt a bit more prepared. Although, the masks were hard to get used to, but we made the best of it. I wish I would have known about the Disney transportation service. It is offered to Disney hotel guests from Orlando Airport to the Disney resorts. But alas, I called an Uber. Packed my two car seats, double stroller, three rolling bags, two carry ons, and we took off to Disney! Oh yeah, can’t forget that I also packed the kids in the car. Mia, 12 years old, Gigi, 4 years old, Luka, 1 year old, and I was 6 months pregnant with Tiago at the time 🙂

I don’t consider myself a professional travel mom, but I have to say that having a system and packing all that you need is the best way to travel with your children. You can avoid unnecessary spending and be prepared for any situation.

Anyway, the driver pulled into the Walt Disney World entryway and I could already hear the magical Disney songs playing in my head.

1 Bedroom Villa, Disney’s Riviera Resort

Did I tell you guys that this was the first Disney Resort we ever stayed in? Well, The Disney’s Riviera Resort is no small place. With it’s fairytale French design, and eloquent Disney decor, The Riviera Resort is the place where you can go to feel like a TRUE PRINCESS!

We had the pleasure of staying in a 1 bedroom Villa. It was stunning. The first thing you noticed were the beautiful Disney paintings and a crystal chandelier at the foyer of the Villa. Complete with one hidden full size bed in the middle of the living room, and a hidden twin size bed beneath the living room television. The full size bed pulls out right from behind this blue velvet couch! Talk about Disney MAGIC!

The bathrooms marble floors and gold trim details looked like a scene from Beauty and the Beast. A huge soak in bath tub was completely separate from the first bathroom area. The details were immaculate and I loved the ease of the sliding French doors from the master bathroom to the bedroom. Dreamy 🙂

The master bedroom, featured a King size bed with beautiful Princess like details. Luka sure did enjoy it 🙂

Once we got all settled in and I got the kids changed and ready, we enjoyed some treats from the downstairs bakery, La Petit Cafe. They serve the most delicious themed Disney treats, breakfast items and Starbucks coffee with a French Cafe feel. The girls picked out some amazing treats, and Gigi of course went for the biggest cupcake, but can you blame her? LOL!

We decided to head to the Outdoor Pool area, that is complete with two pools and a Splash area for little ones! The girls just loved the big tower slide into the pool and the smaller splash zone. Luka was celebrating his 1st Birthday and of course living his best life in the water.

Also, can y’all see my preggo belly? There is Tiago baking 🙂

After the pool we headed inside to do a mobile order from Primo Piatto. I highly suggest that you download the Disney World app to get all of your mobile orders, tickets, fast passes all in one place and that way you don’t have to worry the rest of the trip! I also suggest that you upload your card information, to make paying at all of the Disney locations a breeze!

We picked up dinner and took it upstairs to our Villa, that included a dining room area. We ate, showered and everyone headed to bed because the next day we headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the very first time!

Want to find out what happened the rest of our trip??!

Come back next Monday for PART 2 !
